Safeguarding & Equality Policies

The association treats every member, volunteer, participant and applicant fairly, regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other personal characteristic.

Discrimination, harassment or exclusion is not tolerated in any activity. Concerns can be raised in confidence with the association’s representatives.

Everyone acting on behalf of the association is expected to act honestly, respectfully and within the association’s legal purpose.

Activities involving children require parental consent, appropriate supervision by at least two adults, and no unsupervised one-to-one contact. Any concern about a child’s welfare must be reported immediately.

Volunteers respect confidentiality, follow safeguarding rules, and represent the association only within agreed roles.

Anyone with a personal interest in a decision must declare it and step back from that decision.
